Campground Review: East Toho RV Resort & Marina, Kissimmee, FL

The first campground on our trip has been the East Toho RV Resort & Marina. Located in Kissimmee, FL, this campground is perfectly located and has enough amenities to make it a great place to stay. It was purchased by new owners in 2021 and they appear to be in the process of making even more improvements.

The most important thing to mention is the location! While the campground itself is set apart from local attractions and is filled with quiet roadways below Spanish moss and on a canal with a boat launch, stores and restaurants are just a short drive away, as are all of the popular Orlando resorts, including Disney's Magic Kingdom (31 minutes), Disney Springs (24 minutes), and Universal Studios (27 minutes). It was this central location to Disney and Universal that first made the campground appealing to us. There is nothing like going to Disney World and then only having a 25 minute drive home!

Amenities include full hook-ups, a pool, Wifi, pickleball courts, multiple ponds, onsite laundry facilities, an enclosed dog park, shuffleboard, and a boat launch, which includes an airboat company that offers tours of the nearby waterways.

In addition to RV sites, there are small cabins that you can rent.

While the roads can be a little tight if you're hauling a large rig, the sites themselves are fairly spacious.

The two ponds are filled with wildlife, including turtles and young alligators. One of Darcy's FAVORITE things to do at this campground was walk around looking for alligators!

Even though Darcy was obsessed with looking for alligators, even she didn't have any desire to swim with them, so thankfully the campground has a beautiful pool area for the hot days!

The boat launch was almost always busy. We saw a ton of people bringing boats into and out of the water here. We enjoyed walking near the canal to see the activity, as well as the beautiful water.

We took an airboat ride one afternoon and absolutely LOVED it!! This was our third airboat ride in Florida. (The other two were down in the Everglades.) Airboat rides are one of the absolute BEST ways to tour the Florida waters and this ride did not disappoint!!!

It was a long, grueling 5 minute walk from our RV to the airboat (LOL!). The ride itself consisted of a 30 minute tour of the surrounding waterways. We saw a ton of alligators, as well as several birds and some turtles. It was an absolutely amazing ride, and our guide was wonderful! If you are in the area, we would highly recommend this ride! All in all, we have been really happy with East Toho RV Resort & Marina! Usually the kids complain when a campground doesn't have a playground, but the pool and spotting the alligators in the ponds has proved to be plenty of entertainment for them as well, and they have never once mentioned wanting a playground!

If you are looking for a campground near Disney World, definitely consider the East Toho RV Resort!

Safe travels!!
